	It began quite modestly for Dick Cabela when he ran an ad in an outdoor magazine offering 5 hand tied flies for "Free", he only required $0.25 for postage and handling. Today, he and his younger brother Jim and their families oversee an expansive business that includes retail locations which are as much a wildlife museum and education center as a retail store. A strong internet business coupled with their co-branded credit card compliment these destination stores. But the hallmark of their business is their catalogs which are shipped to all 50 states and 120 countries. 	Patternmaster Choke tubes date back to 1993 when a Kansas farmer, Mike See, had an idea to temporarily hold back the wad in the shot shell for a more consistent shot pattern. Mike approached several firearm experts for help in producing the choke tube. He was introduced to Jerry Poe and Larry Leutenegger who were co-workers in a machine shop. Jerry Poe took the lead in having the choke tubes manufactured. Jerry then listed the assistance of Larry Leutenegger, master machinist / gunsmith, to help with the final touches.
